The Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Sciences at Columbia University‘s Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons is accepting applications for a research faculty member at the Associate Professor rank on tenure track. This position will be investigating the role of tumor microenvironment in tumor progression and metastases, the role of endothelial cells in stem cell niches and benign disease, and the initiation and progression of gastric cancer. The faculty will be based in the Division of Surgical Sciences and will be responsible for leading a world class, independent research program supported by extramural funds, and to participate in the academic and research missions of the University and the Department of Surgery. They will be also engage in collaborative translational research projects with faculty in the Department of Surgery and other clinical departments. The position will include will active participation in the education and training of graduate students, residents, medical students, postdoctoral, and clinical fellows. Additional responsibilities for this position include working with the administration to develop new educational initiatives for the graduate program and postdoctoral trainees.  Columbia University is an Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Veteran
