NYBCe is soliciting applications for a faculty position at Assistant, Associate, and Full Member levels. LFKRI faculty members have diverse expertise spanning basic and translational investigation into the cellular, molecular, and biochemical basis of hematology and is the largest nonprofit research institute of benign hematology in the world. Candidates with expertise in hematology, hematopoietic stem cell biology, immunology and immunotherapies, infectious disease, population studies, and sentinel exploration and/or modeling of emerging diseases are encouraged to apply. The institute is located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan along with neighboring world-class research universities that support a collaborative biomedical research environment. Our faculty develops innovative, externally funded research programs supported by competitive grants. We offer access to a wide variety of shared core facilities including state-of-the-art flow cytometry, confocal and EM microscopy, GMP-compliant research spaces, internal IACUC and IRB support, and access to NYBCe blood donor resources providing candidate faculty with an exciting opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research in transfusion and regenerative medicine.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a PhD and/or an MD, or equivalent degree, and productive prior research. Successful applicants receive a competitive start-up package, modern research space, and will have access to the wealth of resources and core facilities available at LFKRI and neighboring world class research universities. Successful applicants will be expected to develop and lead an outstanding extramurally funded research program and contribute to the mentoring mission of the institute.
