Job Details

The mission of The University of Texas M. D. The primary purpose of the Senior Research Assistant position is to exercise considerable imagination, initiative and inventiveness in planning and executing the details of clinical research and in evaluating and interpreting the results. Responsible for major participation in the development and revision of research studies, data analysis, and preparation of manuscripts for publication. Collaborates or assists with supervisor and senior research staff with preparation of reports and grant requests. Supervises junior trainees in their work and assists them as assigned or delegated.

KEY FUNCTIONS/JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

1. Perform research duties including patient chart review, database organization and completion, literature reviews.
2. Assist with writing of protocols, grants, and proposals.
3. Assist with statistical analysis, writing, development and completion of clinical and translational research manuscripts.

Education
Required
: Bachelor's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field.

Experience
Required:
Three years of experience in scientific or experimental research work. With preferred degree, one year of required experience
