Faculty Position - Scientist in Biostatistics

FACULTY POSITION SPECIALIZING IN BIOSTATISTICS

The Department of Plastic and Oral Surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School invites applications for a full-time faculty position as a Scientist with a strong focus on Biostatistics. 

Selection will be based on excellence in research and the potential to maintain an outstanding research program.  Successful applicants must possess a PhD and have evidence of prior scholarly productivity, a strong publication record and a history as an effective Biostatistician.  Ideal candidates possess knowledge of the Plastic and Oral Surgery specialty.

Prospective candidates must be able to develop independent research projects and experiments of moderate to high complexity as well lead cross functional teams at project-related meetings and technical discussions.  Must be able to successfully collaborate with other Principal Investigators to determine original scientific research project goals as well as formulate grant proposals and implement strategies applying bio statistical methods.  Successful candidates must drive action-oriented, solution focused discussions as well as prepare and collaborate with department members to write manuscripts, grant applications and presentations with well-designed statistical strategies.
