Job Duties: (1) To uncover cell death mechanisms, especially Bcl2 family members (Bcl2, Mcl-1, Bax, Bak, etc.); (2) To investigate molecular and signaling mechanisms of DNA damage, DNA damage response, DNA repair and DNA replication stress; (3) To develop novel small molecule anti-cancer agents and new therapeutic strategies for cancer therapy by targeting apoptosis, DNA damage response, DNA repair and DNA replication stress and; (4) To target novel molecular mechanisms of PD-1 and PD-L1 for immunotherapy.
