ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop tools for high level characterization of complex drug products, formulations, and delivery systems
  • Develop supporting and characterization data with modern workflows using some of the techniques described below: Ultra-High Performance Liquid Chromatography (SEC-UPLC), Multi Angle Light Scattering (MALS), far and near UV Circular Dichroism (CD), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IRs), Asymmetrical Field- Flow Fractionation (AFFF), Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), Differential Scanning Chromatography (DSC), Intrinsic Fluorescence Spectroscopy (IF) and related methods to understand structure and impurities of drug substance and drug product and characterization of dispersed systems and delivery systems
  • Participate in research meetings and provides SME level support
  • Expand technical capability of group through collaboration and review of current literature
  • Authoring of FDA documents for regulatory submissions


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with qualification of characterization methods for complex molecules
  • Experience assembling characterization data for regulatory briefing documents and submissions
  • Understanding of critical quality attributes of complex active ingredients, formulations, and delivery systems
  • Experience participating in global teams with substantive deliverables for parenteral product development
