This position is based in Hong Kong, and serves as the lead of Commercial Learning & Development for Asia 5 (Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia).

Job Responsibilities

\uf0b7 Lead the design, development, and implementation of sales & marketing learning and development programs across Asia

\uf0b7 Lead and guide new hire orientation, onboarding and knowledge/skill-based training

\uf0b7 Support development programs with HR Business Partners

\uf0b7 Partner with management to define training needs through determination of knowledge gaps and needs assessment

\uf0b7 Actively seek out new, cutting edge technology to further improve training initiatives and build efficiency

\uf0b7 Stay abreast of and leverage Gilead best practices, and industry best practices

\uf0b7 Support process for evaluating training effectiveness; revise training and/or training plan as needed

\uf0b7 Identify, develop and deploy appropriate learning mechanisms to include: instructor-led, and web-based acknowledge training

\uf0b7 Drive strategic management of Learning Management Systems (LMS)

\uf0b7 Incorporate motivating, creative, and interactive training techniques to enhance the training experience, in an effort to maximize learning and retention

\uf0b7 Formulates management development criteria, programs and management training across all therapeutic areas

\uf0b7 Partner with senior members of various internal departments to ensure that Learning and Development understands the strategic vision of the departments

\uf0b7 Use broad strategic thinking to analyze the characteristics of the business environment and the challenges to developing training needs

\uf0b7 Analyze the return on investment for training expenditure in areas of concentration, and make changes to ensure training remains relevant and valuable to the business

\uf0b7 Partner with other regional commercial operations function leads to establish highly strategic plans and objectives

Knowledge & Skills

\uf0b7 Must be fluent in English and Korean language

\uf0b7 Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills in order to lead, interact with, focus, resolve conflict and drive consensus among individuals from a variety of cultures and disciplines

\uf0b7 Must possess in-depth negotiating, influencing and consulting skills and proven project management skills

\uf0b7 Proven curriculum development and instructional design skills

\uf0b7 Fundamental understanding of business strategy and how to link HR initiatives to business initiatives

\uf0b7 Be able to work independently and have the ability to manage multiple projects

\uf0b7 High level

\uf0b7 Understanding of learning principles and application in a technical business environment

\uf0b7 Experience in the learning design and development process required

\uf0b7 10+ years of total experience related to training, sales, sales management and marketing in the biotech or pharmaceuticals industry, including 3+ years of experience in commercial training

\uf0b7 Medical or clinical background is a plus

\uf0b7 Advanced degree is desired (MS, MBA or Doctorate)

\uf0b7 Willing to travel frequently among the Asia countries (when possible)
