Postdoctoral Positions in Cell Biology
Postdoctoral positions are available at the School of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and the Case comprehensive Cancer Center (Cleveland, OH) to study the following topics:
- The molecular mechanisms by which specific oncogenes drive tumorigenesis and metastasis
- The mechanisms by which micronutrients impact gene expression
Both projects aim to arrive at a basic mechanistic understanding as well as to test appropriate intervention approaches using cell- and animal-models.
The postdocs will work independently on research projects under the supervision of the principal investigator. The candidates must have strong foundation and experience in all aspects of cell signaling and cell biology with a record of first-author peer-reviewed publications. The candidates will be expected to contribute to the preparation of manuscripts and reports, and to regularly present their findings at meetings. Candidates must have an M.D and/or Ph.D. with relevant experience, a strong record of productivity, and excellent communication skills. This is an outstanding opportunity for highly motivated individuals with strong bench and organizational skills.
