Marketing Assistant - Oncology

Holborn (currently remote-based)

Gilead has declared Hematology-Oncology as one of the key therapeutic areas for future growth. Our current focus is in relation to triple negative breast cancer (TNBC) but we are also considering expansion into multiple solid tumours and growing our pipeline in immuno-oncology through internal research, partnerships and acquisitions. We are currently in the process of building a new team and are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our new Oncology Business Unit as we prepare for launch.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provides marketing administration support, including managing projects, team calendar management, expenses and travel

  • Management of contracts, Purchase Order creation, tracking and receipting

  • Assist in the organization and co-ordination of conferences, symposia and Local/International congresses

  • Handles general customer enquiries and routes questions to appropriate resources within Gilead

  • Maintains local office updates to customer database.

  • Collates market data and reports and routes to appropriate personnel

  • Assist with compliance approvals and liaise with agencies and internal staff to ensure that items are uploaded on to the compliance system, Veeva PromoMats

  • Works in conjunction with marketing specialist and/or product management to ensure proper inventories of promotional materials and their timely shipment to field representatives and managers

  • Interacts with vendors and coordinates promotional material production

  • Assist with additional adhoc duties when required

    Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

  • Proven administration experience within a fast-paced International organization supporting Senior Level Management

  • Proven knowledge of pharmaceutical processes and systems would be advantageous, eg. Zinc

  • Experience with data management and MS Office (advanced Excel & PowerPoint)

  • Resilience under pressure will be a distinct advantage in the role
