Faculty Position - Program Co-Leader, Immunology, Microenvironment and Metastasis Program
The “EXCEPTIONALLY”-rated NCI-designated Wistar Institute Cancer Center is seeking a highly accomplished scientific leader at the rank of Associate or Full Professor to co-lead its Immunology, Microenvironment and Metastasis (IMM) Program. The successful candidate is expected to have a nationally recognized scholarly and research portfolio with a strong track-record of extramural funding (preferentially NCI funding). As a member of the Wistar Cancer Center leadership team, the candidate will provide leadership and direction for the Wistar Cancer Center in the furtherance of its mission. As co-Program Leader, the candidate is expected to oversee the programmatic growth and integration of IMM program and identify emerging opportunities for strategic development to facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations within the IMM program and across The Wistar Institute.
We are particularly interested in candidates with research programs that can integrate and complement the existing strengths in cancer immunology and immunotherapy, cancer metastasis, and tumor microenvironment. The new recruitment represents an exciting leadership opportunity to forge value-added, collaborative programmatic efforts in the uniquely intellectually stimulating environment of The Wistar Institute-University of Pennsylvania campus. The Wistar Institute has an established history of highly innovative advances in cancer and infectious disease.
