Postdoctoral Position for Analytical Chemistry and Biochemistry
Professor Yi Xiao of the Department of Chemistry at North Carolina State University invites applications to fill full-time postdoctoral fellow positions. The Xiao lab performs research on the isolation and characterization of nucleic acid-based recognition elements – aptamers – and their application in biosensors as well as therapeutic agents. These efforts span multiple fields including bioanalytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, biotechnology, materials science, and bioinformatics.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in aptamer isolation (SELEX), cell culture and/or sensor development. Candidates should have a chemistry, biochemistry, or other related Ph.D. degree. Successful candidates will be expected to work independently and have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
