Pfizer Early Clinical Development colleagues play a key role in testing new medicines. You and your colleagues will ensure that the biomarker data derived from clinical specimens is trustworthy and can be utilized to help advance our understanding of disease, new treatment mechanisms, and variable patient responses.

What You Will Achieve

You will provide technical and operational oversight to the implementation of specialty and exploratory biomarker platforms within early clinical trials. You will ensure the management of vendors, samples, data, and related documents in an organized manner and through effective communication. You will apply a broad knowledge of biomarker assay platforms (e.g. mass spectrometry, ligand binding, flow cytometry, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc.) to both independent and collaborative work with project teams. You will have opportunities to develop by participating in strategic discussions related to clinical biomarkers for specific assets.

How You Will Achieve It

• Ensure delivery of quality exploratory biomarker data to clinical teams from cutting edge technology platforms
  
• Lead vendor assessment, selection, contracting and management
  
• Serve a point of contact for internal labs
  
• Oversee fit-for-purpose assay validation
  
• Provide sample collection instructions and shipment information
  
• Define and communicate data transfer specifications
  
• Ensure timely delivery of data to appropriate storage location
  
• Maintain documentation in accordance with local document management practices
  
• Demonstrate compliance with Pfizer SOPs
  

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD or MS with 1-3 years of experience in specialty biomarker applications such as mass spectrometry, ligand binding, flow cytometry, transcriptomics, proteomics, or metabolomics.
