Applications are invited for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Western University of Health Sciences.  Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Immunology or a closely related field with postdoctoral training.  Applicants must possess strong written and spoken communication skills.  Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Research Requirements:  The successful candidate for the Assistant Professor level will be expected to establish an independent research program leading to extramural funding.  The successful candidate for the Associate Professor level will be expected to have an active research program with a proven track record of extramural funding.  Candidates should have a research focus that will complement the existing research in the Department.   A listing of department faculty and their research interests can be found at http://www.westernu.edu/pharmacy/pharmacy-facultystaff/pharmacy-dps_faculty/. The College of Pharmacy provides competitive startup funds.  

Teaching Requirements:  Candidates must be highly motivated to teach in both the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) and the Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences program, with the ability to teach topics in immunology and potentially other topics in pharmaceutical sciences. Candidates with prior teaching experience are preferred.
