Position Summary

The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope is looking for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow. The position is now available in the Department of Medical Oncology and Therapeutics Research under the supervision of Dr. Sumanta Pal of City of Hope. This research fellowship focuses on genitourinary cancers, specifically kidney, bladder, and prostate cancers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining clinical and translational research trials in genitourinary cancers.
  • Collecting, analyzing, and maintaining large databases pertaining to genitourinary cancers.
  • Drafting original research and review articles and publishing in peer reviewed journals.
  • Developing and presenting abstracts at national and international conferences


Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • A Ph.D. or M.D. degree in life or biomedical sciences, or a related discipline is required, though an M.D. and completion of an internal medicine residency is preferred.
  • Experience in medical oncology is preferred
  • Applicants should have a solid understanding of statistical methods and clinical and translational research procedures.
  • Applicants should be proficient in written and spoken English
