Postdoctoral position available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Su-Chun Zhang at the Waisman Center at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to study (1) cellular and molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration, (2) 3D printing and characterization of functional human brain tissues, and (3) cell therapy for neurological disorders.
We are looking for highly motivated team players with strong interest in neuroscience and/or regenerative medicine. PhD background in cell / molecular / developmental biology, neuroscience, or equivalent is required. Experiences in electrophysiology, live-cell imaging, small animal microsurgery, transgenics, bioinformatics, or bioengineering/3D printing are highly desirable. Compensation commensurate with NIH standard and experience. The Zhang laboratory is a leading group studying neural specification of human pluripotent stem cells and application of human neural cells in modeling and treating neurological disorders.
