The Department of Palliative, Rehabilitation & Integrative Medicine focuses on the delivery of supportive care, palliative care, physical medicine, rehabilitation and integrative medicine to MD Anderson patients and support to their family members.

Our department is organized into three sections. Our Symptom Control and Palliative Care Section delivers clinical care upon referral from MD Anderson faculty to any area of the hospital, and in the outpatient Supportive Care Center from Monday through Friday. This section also operates the inpatient Acute Palliative Care Unit.

Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine provides medical rehabilitation consults anywhere in the hospital and operates the inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.

Integrative Medicine provides consults anywhere in the hospital and operates at both the Mays clinic and in it's own free standing building next to the main MD Anderson hospital.
