The Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology seeks a distinguished scientist educator as Faculty Teaching Assistant/Associate Professor to further its mission to teach the subjects of immunology and medical microbiology to undergraduate and postgraduate students. This is a fulltime, non-tenure track position. The selected candidate will exhibit extraordinary teaching and organizational skills. He/she will hold a primary faculty appointment in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology in the WVU School of Medicine.

Reporting to leadership in the Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology in the WVU School of Medicine, the appointed faculty will be provide course work for students majoring in immunology and microbiology as well as to graduate, medical and non-major undergraduate students. He/she will be involved in academic advising to undergraduate immunology and medical majors. The successful candidate will be a recognized educator, established in his/her field, with a PhD or MD/PhD degree and a track record of excellence in teaching, demonstrated by high quality publications in peer-reviewed journals, development of innovative teaching methods in the fields of immunology and medical microbiology as well as excellent student and peer reviews. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications.
