Basic Science Researcher in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias

Basic science researcher with proven record of high quality, original research, within any area related to Alzheimer’s disease research, and a strong funding history with publications in peer-reviewed journals. Expectations include continued extramural funding and research productivity, with a focus on complementing existing research strengths.

The successful candidate will join a thriving Biology of Aging and Neuroscience community of over 40 investigators with strengths in mechanism of proteostasis, age-related neurodegenerative disease, neuropsychiatric disorders and other AD/ADRD-related research, supported by state-of-the-art genomics and proteomics facilities.

 

As a founding researcher in the Nappi Longevity Institute, the successful candidate will work collaboratively with researchers across disciplines to assist in the growth and development of an active and competitive institute for research in the areas of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

 

Pertinent skills:

  • Organizing and running an active lab including supervision of personnel and mentoring of graduate students and post-docs
  • Collaboration with researchers across disciplines

Specific minimal qualifications: PhD. or equivalent with postdoctoral experience in appropriate discipline with a strong record of funding and independent publications. Academic appointment commensurate with experience, will carry the title Assistant, Associate or Professor of Empire Innovation.
