The primary purpose of a Research Investigator II is to provide technical and coordination skills in carrying out various research projects. Impact laboratory research activities.

Key Functions
Assists principal investigator with scientific research projects.

Determines specific goals or objectives to be obtained, evaluates research data, develops and revises techniques.

Maintain patient-derived xenograft animal models

Administration of drug therapies by oral gavage and/or intraperitoneal injection

Perform mouse necropsy

Process tissue for histology, RNA isolation and protein isolation

Molecular analytical techniques for gene and protein expression

Maintain human cell line in vitro cultures

Education
Required
: Bachelor's degree with major course works in one of the basic sciences.

Preferred: Master's degree with major course works in one of the basic sciences.

Experience
Required:
Two years experience in scientific or experimental research work. No experience required with preferred degree.

Preferred: Previous lab experience working with mice.
