The Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Clinical Immunology at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine, is currently recruiting for a full-time basic research position in the series or Ladder rank/In-residence or Adjunct. We are recruiting for the rank of Assistant, Associate or Professor. Appointees to this position will be predominantly engaged in research, but also participate in teaching and engage in University and public service. The importance of basic research in immunology has ben heightened by the covid epidemic. The ideal candidate will have a research program in immunology, with preferred emphasis in autoimmunity or inflammatory disease.

Applicants must have a PhD degree. The ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment is required. We seek to recruit a strong, well established investigator. The ideal candidate will have a strong record of existing and past research grant funding support and demonstrated leadership in NIH R01 and collaborative U-type grant proposals.

Applicants with an MD, PhD degree must be Board Certified in Pediatrics or Internal Medicine, Board Certified or Board eligible in Allergy and Immunology or Rheumatology, and be eligible for medical licensure in the State of California. Candidates are expected to have a strong record of clinical care in the full range of allergic and immunologic, or rheumatologic, disorders. Experience in or the ability to teach and supervise medical students, residents and fellows is required. The ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment is required. Successful candidates will see patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting and serve as a faculty member in the Allergy and Immunology or Rheumatology Fellowship program.
