Are you looking for a collaborative analytical chemist role that allows you to contribute to scientific strategy and accelerate Pharmaceutical Research and Development? If so, this role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.

As a Senior Scientist, you will design and perform quantitative and/or qualitative analysis using classical and instrumental methods to support API process development.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Develop separation based analytical methods for determination of impurities in chemically synthesized samples

  • Progress analytical aspects of projects, utilising technical expertise as part of a Product Development team and wider matrix teams.

  • Stay current on external advances of separation technology and techniques and apply knowledge to progress project development.

  • Execute a wide range of experiments, interpret results and communicate to supervisor and process chemists, and recommend next logical step of experiments based on the data

  • Perform complex data management tasks with minimal supervision, and actively promote data integrity standards within department

  • Prepare detailed oral or written summaries of results with interpretation for projects/programs

  • Independently write specific technical sections of internal and external reports, and contribute to scientific papers

  • Apply good stewardship of analytical instrumentation and assist metrologists for identification and troubleshooting of instrumentation problems

  • Be an active member of project teams and lead sub-team work. Develop networking skills through interactions with scientists outside of primary project roles.



Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Chemistry major, or equivalent, with a Bachelor's and 3+ years or Master's and 2+ years of separation based analytical method development work experience

  • Experience with working familiarity with a number of analytical techniques, and laboratory procedures.



Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Experience with regulatory requirements and the drug development process preferred

  • GC, LCMS, Chiral method development experience preferred

  • Ability of critical thinking and complex problem solving

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
