Functional Proteogenomic Analysis of Lymphoma
The Staudt laboratory of the Lymphoid Malignancies Branch, Center for Cancer Research, National Cancer Institute seeks applications for a Staff Scientist position to lead the laboratory’s analysis of oncogenic survival pathways in lymphoid malignancies. This is an outstanding career opportunity in the National Cancer Institute for a scientist who wishes to study the molecular pathogenesis of cancer in a stimulating and well-supported environment. The laboratory is using state-of-the-art proteomic technologies coupled with CRISPR-based functional genomic screens to understand therapeutically exploitable molecular mechanisms in lymphoma (Phelan et al. Nature 2018 560:387). The Staff Scientist will investigate oncogenic regulatory networks in lymphoma and devise therapeutic strategies to capitalize on these insights, harnessing the latest technologies in proteomics, cell biology, chemical biology, and genomics. This is a key leadership position in the Staudt laboratory, located on the main NIH campus in Bethesda, Maryland and consisting of 16 highly collaborative researchers. The successful candidate will have an M.D. and/or Ph.D. degree, at least 3 years of post-doctoral research, and a strong publication record in cancer biology with an emphasis on biochemical and/or proteomic methodologies.
