Junior Research Scientist (Full-Time)

New York University College of Dentistry is seeking a full-time Junior Research Scientist (research assistant) in the laboratory of Dr. Juhee Jeong within the Department of Molecular Pathobiology. The incumbent will work on projects investigating molecular genetic mechanisms behind embryonic development and birth defects using mice as a model system. They will assist the principal investigator’s research by performing basic molecular biology tasks such as PCR and gel electrophoresis. They will also learn techniques in developmental biology research, such as dissection, tissue staining, microscopy, and image analyses.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology. The candidate must also be able to effectively demonstrate their experience working in a laboratory setting. Proficiency in molecular biology techniques is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
