SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
The Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital Research Center (CRHMR), part of the integrated health and social services center of the East-Island-of-Montreal, is looking for an assistant (te) researcher in bioinformatics to work in a new bioinformatics platform. This central facility will help scientists structure and analyze large amounts of genomic data.
Under the hierarchical authority of the head of the operations department of the CRHMR, the successful candidate will be a key member of the technology platforms team. He (she) will be responsible for:
- Provide bioinformatics support to our scientists by performing analysis of genomic data such as ChIP-Seq, RNA Seq, scRNA-Seq, as well as proteomic analysis;
- Interact directly with researchers to help them understand and interpret the results of NGS data;
- Define and execute analysis pipelines for new services;
- Offer solutions and new computational analysis strategies for new techniques;
- Write standard operating procedures;
- Participate in the management of statistics and invoicing;
- Other related tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a university degree in bioinformatics or an appropriate discipline and a minimum of five years of experience in computational biology, genetics, systems biology or related fields.

The salary will be determined based on experience and will be between $897 CAD and $1661 CAD per week.
