Research Professional in gut inflammation and colon cancer
Research Professional position available at University of Chicago Tang Center (https://tangcenter.uchicago.edu). We seek to recruit a highly motivated person to investigate the regulatory and functional mechanisms of enteric microbiota and endogenous metabolites in gut inflammation and colon cancer. We are particularly interested in, but not limited to, the role of gut microbial manipulation in enteric and therapeutic response in cellular and animal models.
Applicants must have a recent Ph.D. or equivalent degree in the biological sciences. Demonstrated expertise in molecular, cellular, microbiological, and biochemical techniques, is preferred. Experience with cell culture, immunoassays, molecular biology, animal models, and bioinformatic analysis of enteric microbiome is desirable. Experience in metabolomics is a plus. Highly motivated individuals with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a research team are encouraged to apply.
