This Scientist/Senior Scientist role will specifically:
  • Accountable for experimental timelines in accordance with business objectives.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of progress and activities.
  • Independently writes specific technical sections of internal and external reports.
  • Contribute to scientific papers and internal reports.
  • Active member of program teams - may lead sub-team work. Prepares detailed oral or written summaries of results with interpretation for projects/programs.

  • Identifies and troubleshoots problems in the execution of experimental processes/technical studies/tasks.
  • Operates laboratory equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Designs and executes new methods and protocols related to area of expertise and/or proactively incorporates new technology or techniques into practice with minimal supervision.
  • Fully understands the rationale and hypotheses for experimental designs and/or has extensive theoretical understanding of a particular area of science.
  • Actively promotes Data Integrity standards within department.
  • Assists in new research directions and novel strategies to achieve project or department goals.
  • Designs and executes new methods and protocols related to area of expertise which influence "project" direction
  • Performs complex data management tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Interprets results and communicates to supervisor and/or designs next logical step of experiments based on interpretation of results.
  • Presents effectively at internal R&D meetings.
  • Works effectively and collaboratively within own team
  • Begins to develop networking skills through interactions with scientist outside of primary project roles.
  • Identifies and begins to interpret problems in processes and/or in results and communicates them to his/her supervisor.
  • Executes a wide range of experiments/technical studies/tasks independently based on protocol.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Master's degree with thesis in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 0-10 years of experience in industry
  • Experience in biochemistry


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Experience in statistics
  • Develops understanding of regulatory requirements, as appropriate
  • Able to solve more complex problems relating to own projects
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
