What You Will Achieve

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated scientist to become part of a team focusing on assay development and high throughput screening for the generation and identification of novel biotherapeutics. The individual will participate in efforts to develop and integrate cell-based functional assays including, but not limited to, reporter gene, downstream signaling, internalization, proliferation, & apoptosis to address unmet screening needs. Qualified candidates will develop each assay for high-throughput capacity through the use of robotics, liquid handlers and relevant screening platforms. The successful individual will collaborate with and support various research units for the development of biotherapeutics, and thrive in a fast-paced, team environment. In this position, the successful candidate will work within a matrix, across a portfolio of programs, collaborating with multiple groups including the research units (discovery biology) and several partner lines.

How You Will Achieve It

  • Develop cell-based functional assays for high-throughput screening
  • Troubleshoot experimental design and assay optimization
  • Conversion of current biochemical and cell-based assays into HT format
  • Extensive experience in the integration and establishment of high-throughput integrated automation system, liquid handlers, screening platforms and data capture systems
  • Critically analyze experimental data and present results at internal meetings.
  • Collaborate with and support the relevant biology research units
