Customer Service Specialist I - Manufacturing

Essential Duties and Job Functions:
  • Performs order/entry and other activities associated with documenting and processing orders from wholesalers or direct accounts.
  • Proactively tracks the progress of purchase orders for non-inventory materials and applies problem-solving skills as necessary to ensure purchase orders are fulfilled.
  • Handles general customer service inquiries and routes questions to appropriate resources within Gilead.
  • Works with distribution to ensure that product order issues are addressed, and shipments to customers are processed correctly and quickly.
  • Maintains records and generates reports through customer service database.
  • Complete daily inventory reconciliation between Gilead and 3PL systems (Investigation sometimes required to ensure alignment).
  • Manages process for disposition of inventory (damaged or expiry).
  • Attend weekly meetings with 3PL and internal trade operations group to ensure operational alignment with agreed upon strategies.
  • Identify and communicate any at risk inventory with local Finance.
  • May provide training or guidance to more junior Customer Service staff.
  • Researches and resolves customer claims when applicable.


Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
  • Administrative skills specializing in customer services.
  • Develops solutions to a variety of routine and non-routine problems.
  • Demonstrates good organizational skills and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to spend majority of time working independently using well-defined and established procedures with some guidance.


Basic Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant experience in related field and a BS

OR

5+ years of relevant experience, HS Diploma, and a Certificate to FETAC level 6 (GSL)
