NIH funded Research Scientist/postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Basic Medical Sciences at the College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific (COMP), Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, California, near Los Angeles, USA. The research involves study of neurochemistry and neuroanatomy of brain-gut emetic circuits. The position requires a strong background in calcium imaging, immunohistochemical and histological techniques, tissue slice preparations, confocal microscopy, and molecular techniques such as Western blots and cloning, as well as behavioral studies. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Neuropharmacology, or a related area with multiple publications in calcium imaging and immunohistochemical techniques. The Salary is commensurate with experience, health insurance and other benefits would be included.
