Job description:

The Post-doctoral Fellow will specialize in the development of new therapies for metastatic, castration-resistant prostate cancer and be engaged in basic and translational research projects. The work focuses on the role of prostatic acid phosphatase (PAP) as a marker of progenitor cancer cells and as a target for treatment of advanced disease. The Levine Lab is DOD funded and is well established in the field of prostate cancer translational research. The fellow will use a wide array of techniques including immunohistochemistry, mouse xenograft models, and molecular biology techniques to uncover the important mechanisms.

Job Qualifications

Candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in tumor biology or have gained some expertise in the area since graduation.  The Post-doctoral fellow should have experience in the use of mouse models, histology, FACS analysis and DNA, RNA and protein isolation and analysis. The Post-doctoral fellow should be keen to learn, be highly motivated, work well with others and immerse himself/hers elf in the ongoing research of the laboratory.  In addition, the potential candidate must have strong oral and written communication skills and be eager to present research results at national meetings.
