Project Associate II, Project Management, Medical Affairs
Specific Responsibilities and skills for Position
- Support implementation of cross-functional projects
- Vendor management including due diligence, supplier set-up, and contracts
- Centrally manage all MSAs, Work Orders, and general agreements for the department.
- Act as a central point of contact for MA-GPS ISRs
- Follows up with sub-team members or working group regarding progress on routine action items updates and deadlines.
- Facilitate culture building initiatives
- Project management for POAs, KPIs, and Scorecards for the department
- Utilize and create tools to capture metrics and analyze impact and output
- Centrally manage department budget, open POs, process invoices, track expenditures and facilitate accruals and budget updates to Finance.
- Assist with department presentation development
- Centrally manage collaboration initiatives with external organizations
- Demonstrates an ability to effectively manage their workload with limited input from more senior team members.
- Follows up with sub-team members or working group regarding progress on routine action items updates and deadlines.
Essential Duties and Job Functions
The candidate must have a professional demeanor that can represent Gilead's core values of integrity, excellence, teamwork & accountability in every project. Must have specific, working knowledge of processes related to budget tracking, invoicing and purchase orders, contract administration, and vendor relations. The ideal candidate would also have experience with grants, honoraria, transparency policies, and collaboration with field-based personnel.
The position requires an individual who can apply logic and problem-solving skills under pressure, who is adaptable to change, and who can be successful working independently as well as within the context of a team. The candidate must possess solid organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, high-level customer service skills, a positive attitude, and the intelligence and resourcefulness to get the job done.
Must be able to appropriately interact with senior management and external customers/vendors.
