This is a laboratory-based analytical position within the Vaccine Research and Development - Analytical Development group. You will be expected to provide analytical support for bioprocess and formulation development of new vaccine antigens such as proteins, mRNA, and glycoconjugates by performing routine and non-routine sample testing . Assays include standard analytical separations techniques ( HPLC, CE, or gel electrophoresis ) and spectroscopic techniques ( UV-Vis and fluorescence ).

In addition, you with guidance, will develop robust analytical assays and contribute to the design, planning and execution of method qualification and subsequent assay transfer studies.

How You Will Achieve It

  • In this position, you will design, plan, and execute sample analysis, assay development, qualification and transfer studies with guidance to support the release, stability and characterization testing of early vaccine candidates. This includes preparing samples, setting up and running the instruments, and analyzing data.
  • Provide both routine and non-routine sample analysis support for in-process, formulation development, and final vaccine candidates samples.
  • Plan and prioritize assay development and sample testing activities to ensure timelines are met.
  • Document experiments, analyze data, and provide conclusions obtained from assay development and sample testing experiments contemporaneously in either an electronic or paper notebook as directed.
  • Present data in the form of summaries or technical reports that are submitted to supervisor/ management for review.
  • Contribute to drafting laboratory methods and reports
  • Collaborate with other colleagues within the analytical group to support completion of assay development and qualification tasks as needed.
  • You will contribute and participate in general laboratory maintenance activities (such as maintenance of equipment, managing laboratory waste).


  • Qualifications
  • Must-Have
  • Bachelor's Degree 6+ years of experience or Master's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience developing and utilizing separation-based analytical techniques (RP-HPLC, IEX, SEC, CE) is essential.
  • Able to interact effectively with peers and leaders as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills


Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in biomolecule characterization techniques is strongly preferred
  • Experience in mRNA characterization techniques is preferred
  • Experience with SEC-MALS separation techniques is preferred
