Post Doctoral Research Associate - Human Dimension Specialist

Join a dynamic team of scientists and engineers focused on advancing waterpower and other energy systems where there is an increased need to evaluate the human dimensions of energy systems related to impacts on the natural world. The Operational Systems Engineering Group with the Earth Systems Science Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) seeks applications for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate position. The applicant must have interest and relevant expertise in one or more of the following areas:

•  Organization and coordination of scientific workshops and conferences

•  Development of engagements (e.g., workshops, surveys) with diverse stakeholder communities including industry and natural resources parties.

•  Energy developmental/natural resource issues and impacts.

Through their work, the candidate will develop an internal and external network of collaborators and project partners and participate in professional societies at the regional and national level. The position requires that the candidate complies with PNNL policies regarding environmental, health, safety, and protection of intellectual property. The position is immediately available with possible transition to a permanent position, dependent upon available funding and sustained performance. Ideally, the candidate has the opportunity to grow a research program.
