Opening for Postdoctoral Fellow Position at MD Anderson Cancer Center

A full-time postdoctoral fellow position is available in Dr. Wenyi Wang’s lab, at the Department of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Wang’s laboratory performs research aiming to gain new knowledge in the evolution of the human genome as well as the cancer genome. These two topics are fundamental to the understanding of the initiation, progression and treatment of human diseases. Currently her laboratory is focused on two research directions: 1) Development of deconvolution models in order to build an atlas of gene expression states of tumor and immune cells during cancer evolution; and 2) Statistical models for cancer risk counseling for individuals with deleterious germline mutations. For further information, visit the lab website at

The postdoctoral fellow position is a full-time, 12-month. The selected candidate will join the research programs in tumor heterogeneity and evolution, as well as the human cell atlas network.

The proposed start date is June 1, 2021. The postdoctoral fellow will be mentored directly by Dr. Wang, with possible co-mentorship from clinicians and cancer biologists in thyroid or prostate cancer. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
