Postdoc in Biomedical/Biological Mass Spectrometry (f/m/d)

Full-time: 40 hours per week /temporary position for 3 years

YOUR ROLE

• Development of mass spectrometric approaches for studying protein interaction networks and signalling pathways by applying chemical crosslinking
• Establishing mass spectrometric methods for the analysis of protein modifications in complex samples and on purified proteins like antibodies
• Performance of protein biochemistry and cell biological experiments
• Contribution to the design, standardization and certification of mass spectrometric assays

YOUR PROFILE

• PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry or related subject
• Keen interest in the development of mass spectrometric approaches to study protein interactions and their regulation by post-translational modifications to address biological and biomedical questions
• Demonstrated scientific expertise (publications) in the fields of biochemistry, cell biology or mass spectrometry
• Hands-on experience in mass spectrometry and applying dedicated analysis software
• Knowledge of the statistical environment R or any other programming language is a plus
• Ability to independently run and organize a scientific project, self-motivated and responsible work ethic as well as high competence to work and communicate in a team
• Excellent English skills (oral and written), proficiency in German is of advantage Excellent Software skills (MS Office)

YOUR SALARY

IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems is not subject to any collective agreements. The gross salary for this position is EUR 3.945,90,-- per months based on a full-time workload (40 hours per week ) according to FWF guidelines.  The position is limited to 3 years.
