Postdocs Studying Nutrient Signaling in Cancer Biology and Therapy at Rutgers University

Postdoctoral opportunities are available to study cell signaling that controls growth and metabolism, and the role in cancer biology and therapy. Through genetic and genomic approaches using yeast as a model organism, we have identified a large panel of genes involved in mTOR pathway. We are using integrated experimental and data mining approaches to understand their functions in normal physiology and diseases such as cancer and diabetes. We are also interested in how aberrant alterations influence therapeutic outcomes. Rutgers University is conveniently located in the desirable New York City metropolitan area. We seek highly motivated individuals with a recent PhD degree in molecular cellular biology, cancer biology, pharmacology or other related biological sciences.
