The Oxidative Signaling and Molecular Therapeutics Group (OSMTG), Developmental Therapeutics Branch (DTB), National Cancer Institute (NCI), led by Dr. James H Doroshow is inviting qualified applications for a postdoctoral research position in the area of cancer therapeutics. The candidate will perform basic research on nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase mediated signaling mechanisms in cancer therapeutics. The candidate will investigate the role of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the regulation of gene expression, signal transduction, and proliferation in human tumor cell systems, as well as clinical samples. This research effort also focuses on the development of small molecule inhibitors targeting ROS generating NADPH oxidases. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with demonstrated scientific productivity to join the laboratory. Experience in eukaryotic molecular pharmacology and signal transduction is required; expertise in cell- and in vivo-based molecular pharmacodynamics and free radical biology is also desirable.
