SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Research Investigator position is to apply technical expertise to coordinate, design, and carry out research projects while following standard operating procedures for the laboratory.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Laboratory Operations: Provides oversight of the management of a laboratory that has 1-3 experimentalists.
Data collection and analysis: Plans, conducts, analyzes, and prepares final reports of in vitro biochemical pharmacology experiments with cell lines and primary human tumor cells.
Equipment: Oversees equipment functioning and initiation of actions for repairs and maintenance as needed.
Other duties as assigned.

Technical/Functional Expertise - Demonstrate technical proficiency required to do the job; possess up-to-date knowledge in the profession; provide technical expertise to others.
Bachelor's degree in one of the natural sciences or related field. Five years of experience in scientific or experimental research work. With preferred degree, three years of required experience.
