This is a full-time position, funded for three-years. The primary purpose of the Research Engineer position is to provide programming support for our team, with a variety of programming languages. The main goal of our group is the development of automated tools to support radiation therapy treatment planning in low- and middle-income countries. This position will support this role, including image processing, segmentation, database use, and many other programming tasks.

KEY FUNCTIONS

1. Provides technical engineering expertise in the performance of laboratory experiments, data collection and analysis.

2. Develop user interfaces for automated contouring and planning tools

3. Create software to integrate with other software tools developed in our group and also commercial software.

4. Provide data management assistance for active research protocols, including importing data into treatment planning computers.

5. Provide image analysis support, including programming, for ongoing R&D projects.

6. Other duties as assigned.

Education
Required:
Master's degree in Science, Physics or Engineering field.

Experience
Required
: Two years of engineering-related laboratory experience.
