Head physician of the Clinical Chemistry Service

with an academic title of Professor

 

Starting date: to be agreed

 

Place: Lausanne, Switzerland

 

 

 

The Service of Clinical Chemistry is dedicated to biochemical diagnostics, providing essential support to hospital and outpatient medical activity. It is made up of two units: the LCC clinical chemistry service laboratory and the innovation and analytical methods development laboratory.

 

 

 

Main tasks :

 

  • Lead, organize and ensure the activities of the Service and its development
  • Ensure and strengthen the expertise and security of service missions / analytical services and the management of the quality management system, including infrastructure / equipment / supply / data
  • Ensure and guarantee the pre-graduated (according to the FBM needs), postgraduate and continuous training missions, as well as the training of the Service’s collaborators
  • Ensure and develop the academic clinical research missions
  • Reinforce and develop the internal and external influence of the Service
  • Possibility of reorienting the strategic developments of the service within the framework of the positions to be filled within the LCC.

 

 

Desired profile :

 

  • Medical degree (or Mebeko equivalent) MD, PhD or MD-PhD
  • Specialist title in a related field (Swiss or Mebeko equivalent)
  • Postgraduate training (FAMH) in laboratory medicine (Swiss or Mebeko equivalent)
  • Senior physician with several practical years in clinical chemistry in university hospitals
  • Academic knowledge of professorial rank with proven teaching practice
  • Ability to develop an autonomous line of research at international level funded by expert funds
  • Certified managerial skills in team management and project management
  • Quality management and risk management of the accredited laboratory (teaching, project experience)
  • Compliance with the directives of all measures relating to hygiene, security of systems and data, respect of medical and functional confidentiality
  • Good knowledge of French or ability to acquire it quickly.
