Assistant or Associate Professor
The College of Veterinary Medicine at Washington State University is seeking a full-tine tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor scientist who uses approaches appropriate to the study of chromosome biology and DNA repair, animal reproduction and development, and bacterial, viral and archaea biology and pathogenesis. The position is 65% research, 25% formal teaching in undergraduate and graduate courses, and 10% service to the Department, College, the University and the profession.
The department seeks candidates whose research, teaching or service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and inclusion in higher education. Faculty in the department are nationally and internationally recognized leaders in research on Cellular Signaling, Molecular Reproduction and Regeneration, Infectious Disease, Functional Genomics, and Chromosome Biology and DNA Repair.

Required qualifications include an earned doctoral degree (PhD or equivalent) in Biomedical Sciences or related field. At the Assistant Professor level, a minimum two years productive post-doctoral research experience is required. At the Associate Professor level, demonstration of a successful research program supported by extramural funding is required. Candidates must have demonstrated the ability to conduct hypothesis-based research and publish high quality papers in top tier journals; a track record of, or strong potential for, attracting extramural funding, and a history or interest in contributing to high quality undergraduate and graduate education.
