Post-doctoral position in antibody biology and engineering at Applied Biomedical Science Institute
A postdoctoral fellowship is available in Dr. Vaughn Smider’s lab the field of antibody biology and protein engineering. The candidate will have experience in cell culture, PCR, cloning, transfection/transformation and antibody purification, and a demonstrated record of high quality science in peer-reviewed publications. Phage display and bioinformatics skills are desireable as well. The ability to work within a team and communicate well are essential, and collaborative opportunities with other laboratories are likely. A one to two year commitment is envisioned.
We are a small but dynamic institute, and are very invested in mentoring individuals so that they can develop both scientifically and professionally. Training in antibody science through our postdoctoral fellowship program will be particularly marketable for future academic or industry careers.
The Applied Biomedical Science Institute performs basic biomedical research and early-stage therapeutic discovery and development with an emphasis on immunology and oncology, and technology development. The Institute has several collaborations with innovative biotechnology companies as well as cutting-edge internal projects.
Pay commensurate with experience.
