ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Franchise Lead Hematology, the Global Hematology Medical Director Multiple Myeloma (MM) is accountable for providing subject matter expertise and direction for study design and execution for global medical affairs initiatives, the execution of global medical affairs strategy in Multiple Myeloma, including evidence generation, communication, and global external engagement. The Global Hematology Medical Director -MM will partner cross-functionally with medical teams, health and value functions, clinical development, legal, compliance and commercial teams to execute activities. The Global Hematology Medical Director -MM will closely work with each member of Global Medical MM team for the best design and deliver of medical programs and initiatives

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

The Global Hematology Medical Director -MM will:
  • Facilitate scientific engagement across a broad range of stakeholders to strengthen external understanding of the unmet need and medical value of Pfizer pipeline in Multiple Myeloma
  • Gather medical insights and translate them into actionable strategies focused on MM patients needs
  • Contribute to strategic evidence generation and dissemination plans
  • Support the execution of evidence generation activities including independent research, clinical and research collaborations, and Pfizer non-interventional and interventional studies including post-hoc data generation
  • Work on internal data interpretation and alignment activities
  • Support evidence dissemination and education activities including scientific publications and scientific exchange


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • MD plus accredited fellowship in Hematology-Oncology, board certified or board eligible
  • Minimum of 7 years of medical affairs or clinical experience
  • Clinical and disease knowledge base in Multiple Myeloma and other hematological malignancies
  • Documented recent experience in treating MM patients
  • Cross functional effectiveness
  • Leading effectively in a matrix
  • Proven track record of ability to work successfully with cross-functional colleagues in a matrix team setting across countries and internationally with diverse colleagues
  • Very strong communications and relationship building capacity and ability to listen, understand and integrate country and local needs
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
