Scientist specializing in preparation of formulations and application of analytical sciences to support development of complex drug products such as peptides, dispersed systems, and drug-device combination products.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Applies technical and functional knowledge to design experiments to evaluate the feasibility of new product concepts.
  • Independently completes work within own work group/ project team, working on multiple sub-projects in parallel.
  • Executes formulation and process design experiments to support early stage product concepts, including complex formulations and drug-device combination products.
  • Develops early stage analytical methods and applies advanced analytical techniques to characterize early stage formulations.
  • Participates in research meetings and provides project team support.
  • Expands technical capability of group through collaboration and review of current literature.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS with 9 years experience, MS with 7 years experience, or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry, Biophysics or a related field.
  • Expertise preparing and characterizing complex molecules and formulations.
  • Understanding of the drug development process, with a specific focus on differentiated and novel small molecules drug products from early stage development and transition to development.
  • Knowledge of critical quality attributes of complex molecules and formulations.
  • Experience participating in global teams with substantive deliverables.
