ROLE SUMMARY
At Pfizer-Boulder we are focused on the discovery, development, and commercialization of targeted small molecule drugs to treat patients afflicted with cancer.
This position is responsible for performing daily husbandry and care of rodents as well as facility maintenance to support pharmacology and toxicology studies.The ideal candidate will have previous in vivo or veterinary experience.

ROLE RESPONSIBILTIES
- Perform daily husbandry and welfare duties.
- Perform daily health assessments; recognize and report abnormal behavior or signs of illness.
- Perform facility operations assessments.
- Support cage wash operations and equipment maintenance.
- Clean and stock procedure rooms.
- Attend meetings and training sessions.
- Assist with study set-up and support activities as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must-Have
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ year in vivo laboratory experience preferred
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, move large equipment , kneel, stand and reach
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliability to consistently meet work hours is required
- Basic computer knowledge, such as email, online forms, web-based training and other basic programs
- Non-standard work schedule
Nice-to-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Animal or Life Science
- Previous veterinary technician/animal care experience
- AALAS certification
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
- Lifting, standing, walking, bending, and handling small rodents.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Non-standard work schedule (to include weekends)
- Wednesday - Sunday schedule preferred
