Tenure-Track Assistant Professor

The Department of Physiology at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) invites applications and nominations from talented individuals for the position of Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Cardiovascular Physiology. The Department of Physiology at UTHSC was recently ranked fourth out of all Physiology Departments in North America for total federal research funding. Current areas of research within the Department include cardiovascular disease, diabetes, gastrointestinal disease, neurodegenerative diseases and ion channels. Outstanding collaborative opportunities and excellent resources are available in the Department of Physiology, the Division of Cardiology, and the Cardiovascular Institute at the UTHSC. This position comes with a competitive start-up package. The qualified candidate should have funded research programs in cardiovascular physiology. Individuals with research expertise in cardiac and vascular biology, immunology, and blood pressure regulation are welcome to apply. Women and minorities are particularly encouraged to apply.
