Job Details

Supervises and coordinates administrative and patient care services for the coordination of research studies. Impacts patient data for research studies.

**The ideal candidate will have experience with the community and bilingual in Mandarin**

Essential Job Functions:
Project implementation:

* Acts as a lead on psychosocial intervention studies that aim to improve the quality of life among Chinese-speaking cancer survivors. Plans and implements research projects. Maintains current scientific, technical and regulatory environment information. Develops and maintains study protocols, materials, records, and operation manuals. Conducts internal audits of protocols as needed. Documents and tracks project implementation and progress. Prepares for weekly, monthly, and yearly project reports. Ensures timely patient accrual into clinical trials and high quality data collection and management. Assists with manuscripts and grants as needed and oversees the preparation of information and reports for grant submission and progress report.

Community/Participant and Outreach:

* Serves as liaison between study participants, research study team, and community agencies serving patients. Facilitates meetings and collaborates with Chinese community based organizations to recruit research participants and coordinates intervention delivery. Directly interacts with patients and research participants.

Personnel Supervision:

* Coordinates schedules, assignments and provides cross-coverage. Monitors and assesses staff workload and productivity levels. Conducts initial staff orientation, motivates staff, provides continuing education and training, and evaluates performance. Attends meetings and training courses to stay informed of the state of the science in the areas of cancer health disparities, cultural competency, community based participatory research, and strategies for recruiting minority and especially Chinese speaking research participants.

EDUCATION:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree.

EXPERIENCE:

Required: Seven years research study experience to include previous experience in a supervisory or lead role. With preferred degree, three years of required experience to include previous experience in a supervisory or lead role. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience.
