ROLE SUMMARY
The qualified candidate will join the Analytical R&D organization and contribute to the development of biological therapeutic candidates. Within Analytical R&D, the candidate will join the Mass Spectrometry and Biophysical Characterization group. The qualified candidate will be responsible for implementing methods of analysis for the detailed characterization of proteins, mRNAs, peptides, vaccines, and oligosaccharides.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be responsible for utilizing the following techniques to confirm the intended structure of drug candidates: mass spectrometry, chromatography, spectroscopy and proteolytic mapping. The characterization of product modifications is also a key element of the position, including determining the site(s) of modification in the protein, and then confirming the modifications by orthogonal methods. The above skills will be applied to a large platform of projects in all stages of development.

Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's Degree
- 0-3 years of work experience in analytical biochemistry, chemistry or biochemistry
- Hands on experience or working knowledge in Pharmaceutical industry in handling of analytical instruments
Nice-to-Have
- Prior experience with chromatographic or spectroscopic methods for the detailed structural characterization of proteins, vaccines, peptides, or oligosaccharides is highly beneficial
- Knowledge of drug development process for progression of biological incumbents
- Good documentation skills with high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, team oriented, effective interpersonal and communication skills
