A postdoctoral position is available to study lung stem cells and the mechanisms of lung alveolar epithelial repair. Projects include interactions between micro-environmental niche and epithelial progenitor/stem cells, intrinsic signaling in lung stem cells, cell fate determination during lung inflammation, injury and repair. Experience with mouse models, tissue culture, histology, fluorescent cell sorting, confocal and fluorescence microscopy, RNA sequencing, stem cell biology, immunity and inflammatory signaling is desirable. Candidates should also have a record of high productivity, be able to independently design and carry out experiments.
