Research Area:

The Babushok laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania aims to understand the mechanisms of immune-mediated bone marrow failure and to elucidate drivers of pre-malignant clonal evolution in bone marrow failure disorders. The long-term goal of the laboratory is to transform the improved understanding of the pathogenesis of bone marrow failure into the improved diagnosis and treatment of these life-threatening diseases. The laboratory seeks a creative and dedicated Post-Doctoral Fellow to join our team to study pathogenic mechanisms of immune-mediated bone marrow failure and clonal evolution in bone marrow syndromes.

Qualifications:

Highly motivated candidates with a recent or anticipated Ph.D. and a record of accomplishment (one or more first-author publications) in immunology, cellular and molecular biology, or related field are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of immunology or cellular and molecular biology and familiarity with standard experimental techniques is required. Experience with mouse models is preferred. The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a larger research team. The candidate must have excellent analytical skills, be creative, be able to learn and troubleshoot new techniques, maintain accurate records, and have good personal and communication skills.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and according to the NIH guidelines.
